Welcome to the We Love Blackpool . Com website, the landing site for information on all the 4 candidates, their views and the daily goings on of our campaign through the Andy’s Blog Section.

The Guest Blog will feature articles from writers on local and national issues and if you would like to submit a piece of writing relevant to the campaign please send to andy@postalanddata.systems.

Politics is a serious business affecting all our lives, however it is dominated by self-importance, ego and a love of power. The 4 independents of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre are normal, hard-working people who like most people from the North-West of England are sick and tired of listening to the likes of Jeremy Corbyn, Boris Johnson and Joe Swinson.

Many of you probably know that our First Past The Post (FPTP) Electoral System works in the favour of the two main parties and makes it almost impossible for any INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES throughout the 650 constituencies of the UK to have any impact on election night. We know Westminster is against us, we know the main parties will do anything to defend power through their rotten electoral system and we know there is little chance if any of the 4 of us defeating any of the 4 career politicians we are standing against (Gordon Marsden Labour : Blackpool South – Mark Menzies Conservative : Fylde – Paul Maynard Conservative : Blackpool North and Ben Wallace Conservative : Wyre and Preston North.

That said we are prepared to lose our £500 deposits and a big chunk of our lives over the next 3 weeks because it is the right thing to do. The system is unfair and we are the underdogs but as they say in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre ‘unlike modern franking machines we weren’t born with reverse gears’. So despite the odds being unfairly stacked against us we are ALL up for a fight and we will worry about the consequences later.

We all hope you will join us over the next three weeks and we welcome your comments, your contributions and your feedback. On this short journey we do hope to add some colour and humour to the usual unimaginative drudgery served up by the UK political machine.

If you can spare a few quid we do have a donation button – any financial contributions would be greatly appreciated.
